Greetings from our studio - we sincerely hope this finds you well in spirit and in health.

The powerful benefits of the ‘gift of art’ are oh so numerous, not least amongst them the memories evoked by either creating, or viewing artworks; not to mention how that ‘gift’ can be extended to lend support to others.

Eileen and I have always strived to combine these attributes in our dedicated fund-raising efforts, in support of those communities in which we have lived and with whom we have worked. For memories are made of such ‘gifts’ - which, in turn, has inspired us to put into practice, the ‘art of sharing’ to the best of our abilities

Charity fund-raising solo exhibitions and private views, live painting events, on-the-spot-painting prize draws, donations of paintings and prints to fund-raising auctions, painting workshops and demonstrations – these have all been organised by us as part of our dedicated and continuing, charity/community-support and sharing commitments.

Producing Fund-Raising Limited-Edition Prints, in aid of specific charities, gives us an on-going method of raising not only funds, but also awareness of the charity.

Our current folio of Fund-Raising, Limited-Edition Prints numbers amongst it The Low Road – the subject of this, our most recent Masterworks Reveal video - in which we take you on a journey along the low road and around the painting, along with the stages it went through, from my first thumbnails to the final touches of super-white highlights.

One of a suite of three prints, produced exclusively for the benefit of Macmillan Cancer Support – inspired by the work of the Dornoch committee of fund-raisers, in our neighbouring county of Sutherland.

'Lone Piper’ features a seasonal event in Dornoch, accompanied by the award-winning Dornoch Pipe Band, a regular fixture for visitors to Dornoch, as can be seen in this video.

When launching the project with ‘Lone Piper’ we held several additional fund-raising events, including an on-the-spot painting, which we donated on the day for a Prize Draw Afternoon Tea event.

Christmas Bells is centred on the bells that are rung out lfrom Dornoch Cathedral, on Christmas Day.

The Low Road features another iconic element, well-known to anyone travelling the ‘low road’ to Dornoch.

All three paintings capture a never-to-be-repeated moment and, although they tell a specific story, their appeal has proved universal – such is the powerful evocative, nature of art for the viewer. Orders to date, have enabled us to pass on many thousands of pounds (UK£) to Macmillan Cancer Support.

If you would like to purchase one of our fund-raising prints, or another from our collection – simply email us (click here) with your initial enquiry and we will be back in touch to take things forward. Whether it’s a treat for yourself, or a gift for someone special, we take great care of your requirements and we’re delighted to gift-wrap with our compliments. For every sale of any one of the prints featured here, we hand over £90 (GB) to the relevant charity.

We thank you for reading our latest news and for your continued interest in our work and, as ever, send best wishes, from Eileen and myself,”
