Now she could see that they were leaves. Each leaf of the tree canopy was being painted with the pulsating pink of the sky. Billions of silvered leaves rippled and shimmered, as waves across an ocean, playing games with the ever growing warm light. A wake of disturbance, caused by the Swarm’s flight, flowed and spread outward behind them. Just like a boat trail on a silvery pink sea, they were leaving bright evidence of their passage.
