These roots became hawser-like cables as they spiralled upward, growing into the structure, criss-crossing and intertwining. Embedded within this tightly woven mould were a multitude of smooth, egg-shaped cells, from which the gentle light radiated. The initial impression Fizz had of its size soon had to be recalculated, for as it began to tower against the night sky she realised it was the size of a skyscraper. Fizz realised that they had at last reached a most important destination. This was, without doubt, an Elphen nest.
