Sharing our passion for creativity, in music, words, design and artworks
Warm greetings from our studio, from where we are delighted to share with you the creative passion that draws us together with like-minded folk.

Although our working lives can appear to be intense, as we beaver away in our studio, seemingly in isolation, they are far from it; for every day, we are ‘touched’ by the creativity of others, in every sense of the word, both working professionals and those who create for pleasure.
It is our privilege to get to meet and know, fellow professionals in the creative world and, there is nothing more satisfying and fulfilling than to work together on a collaborative project. Which is why we are thrilled to share with you the thought processes and work-in-progress of those who have joined us in bringing my Elphen Chronicles to life, once more.
We will be eternally indebted to Sunita Gahir, our Design Director and Co-Producer in the ever-expanding project that has, at its nucleus, my second book, ‘Webstrand, the Tooth Gatherer’. As written before, Sunita’s exquisite design vision for this book, has formed the very essence of the entire project and, as you will hear and see in the opening sequence of this FREE-TO-VIEW Bonus Feature, the synergy between Sunita’s design-concepts and my paintings has been heavily influenced by every aspect of our collective aim for the look and feel of everything associated with it –(free-to-view, just click on the link)

So do please join us in watching that Bonus Feature in this Chapter Three of ‘Watch & Wander through the Elphen Chronicles’, because you also get to join in our plans for the Elphen Soundscape at one of our earliest get-togethers with Liza Mulholland (Music Director, Producer), to whom we owe our gratitude for so-willingly joining as a principal collaborator. A magical day for us, as we listened to Liza’s thoughts and initial tinklings on the keyboard (or as she expresses it, her ‘noodlings’). Liza is bringing her considerable talents as a professional musician, composer and singer/songwriter and our initial thoughts for a single Elphen song, is now expanding to encompass much, much more, as you will gather from watching Bonus Feature Number One.

This is the third set of videos we’ve made showing the painting process that I use for some of my Story Vignettes, in which you get to see me working at my easel, from the first strokes of drawing-out, to the final, finishing touches and highlights.

Watch Episode 1 of Chapter Three in ‘Watch & Wander through the Elphen Chronicles’ and you get a glimpse into Webstrand’s role as the Tooth Gatherer and Swarm Leader, as chronicled by myself in this vignette which appears in Chapter Three. Chapter Three sees Fizz taken on a journey that neither she, nor the Elphen, had anticipated she would be making; but when you get to ultimately read, or listen, to this second book in Paul Taggart’s Elphen Chronicles, you will begin to appreciate that Webstrand and her fellow Elphen were unable to resist.

In the vignette featured in Episode 2, you get some inkling of how the Elphen Swarm feel about Webstrand’s somewhat unexpected announcement regarding their new-found travelling companion. My aim being to chronicle the pronouncement and reaction from the small group, whom we can spy clustered around Webstrand, standing aloft on Fizz’s bed post.

‘Webstrand, the Tooth Gatherer’, my second, illustrated, fantastical story-book in the ‘Elphen Chronicles’, has been nearly fifteen years in development.

There are thirteen large Masterworks oil paintings; four smaller Masterworks in oils and ultimately, many, many, story-vignettes in oils, such as those featured in this box-set, which have been created specifically for Chapter 3

For these vignettes I am using a technique that is unique to myself, developed exclusively for this ever-growing collection. If you’ve watched the trailer for Chapter 1 you will have heard me describe the five distinct ‘painting’ stages in the preparation of each vignette – with the final layer being reliant on the traditional oil painting technique of glazing.  As previously mentioned, it gives us the greatest pleasure to share this technique in a work-along Workshop –

We look forward to your company and, as always, this comes with best wishes

from Eileen and myself, not to mention, Sunita, Liza, Webstrand and Starfire.
